In a recent conversation, our founder and CEO Jamie McInally sat down with Josh to introduce him to the Autoenhance community and talk about where AI photo editing, and the real estate media industry as a whole, is headed next.
A Journey Rooted in Real Estate Photography
Josh’s story will resonate with many of our users.
He started as a real estate photographer while studying engineering in college, eventually launching his own photography and virtual tour business back in 2011.
“I walked in the same shoes as many of Autoenhance’s customers, juggling shoots, managing vendors, and looking for ways to streamline it all,” Josh shared.
That experience led him to create Show&Tour in 2019, a software platform built to help photographers manage and deliver their projects more efficiently. Over the last six years, Josh has worked with real estate photographers and media companies across the world, helping them automate workflows and scale their businesses.
From Industry Insider to Team Leader
Jamie explained why this experience is so valuable for Autoenhance:
“So many of our customers are media suppliers and photographers. Having someone like Josh, who deeply understands that world, helps us build tools that solve real problems. His insight helps us level up.”
Josh’s new role as Head of Growth and Partnerships will focus on strengthening relationships within the industry and helping more businesses harness the full power of Autoenhance’s AI.
A Shared Vision for the Future of AI in Real Estate Media
Josh first encountered Autoenhance at PMRE two years ago, where he met Jamie and began following the company’s progress.
“Two years ago, the technology was promising but still developing,” Josh recalled. “Now, with Version 5.2, Autoenhance has reached that turning point, where AI isn’t just good enough, it’s really good. It helps photographers scale their businesses and deliver higher‑quality results faster.”
He’s already been deeply involved in Autoenhance’s latest update. His own photo library from more than a decade of shooting real estate images contributed to the training data for Autoenhance V5.2, our most advanced AI model yet.

Jamie sees Josh’s arrival as part of a broader evolution for the company:
“We’ve been at this for five years. That foundation has allowed us to refine how AI works at scale and deliver results that meet professional standards. Now it’s about helping more businesses adopt AI confidently, and Josh will play a key role in that journey.”
Together, they share an optimism about what’s ahead. As Jamie noted, 2025 marks the early adopter phase of AI in real estate media, with 2026 set to bring even wider transformation across the industry.
